Anthony C.
Toni Cunningham is currently in his fifth and final year in the Recreation Tourism Management program at Cal State Northridge. Born and raised in South Central Los Angeles in the foster care system, Toni has overcome the many obstacles that have been placed is his path. Toni can be described as resilient, hard working, and a ray of light. Currently holding a Student Programs Assistant position with the University Student Union at CSUN and a counselor and planning committee position for the non profit Happy Trails for Kids an organization that gives foster youth the opportunity to experience outdoor recreation and sleep away camp. Mr. Cunningham is also the host of his podcast Tea Time with Toniii. Toni is using his positions to make change, advocate for others, and serve the folks of his communities. Toni refuses to be a product of his circumstances and continues to work hard to become a household name.
Jenny S.
Jenny Serrano is a Children’s Services Program Director for the Los Angeles County DCFS Youth Development Services Division where she is responsible for managing programs that assist thousands of transition age foster youth annually, in the areas of employment, transportation, credit protection and other special projects. Jenny holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Public Administration degree from California State University, Northridge. She is celebrating her 16th year as an Associate Professor of Political Science at Pierce College. She served on the Board of Directors at Peace4Kids and remains active as a volunteer and consultant. Jenny was 13 years old when she went into foster care, 18 when she exited, and 19 when she became the caregiver for her younger brother. Today, Jenny has a family of her own with her children – Nyah and Asher, and enjoys reading, road trips and concerts.

Peace4Kids (P4K) is a non-profit volunteer supported organization promoting trust, equity, and stability for children in foster care that has served thousands of youth in South LA.
